where it all began

At 14, a simple book from my brother—an HTML book—got me hooked on technology. I read its pages, built my first website, and experienced a sense of accomplishment. The tech world became my playground, fueling my creativity and driving me to explore more complex projects, and I haven’t looked back ever since.
With 15 years in the industry, I’m an SRE for a Fortune 500 company in Atlanta. Beyond my day job, I’m a tech content creator and home-lab enthusiast at night, driven to empower others in their tech careers.
As a husband and father of two, my commitment extends to making tech accessible and inspiring those at the starting line. My path from my origins in Brazil to Atlanta’s tech scene is one example of the technological opportunities available to all.

2009
Fresh out of college with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I landed my first tech role as a Systems Analyst. This pivotal moment began my journey into the tech world, setting the foundation for my future endeavors.
2012
With a Master’s degree in IT Governance, I entered a managerial role within the Brazilian government. This period sharpened my leadership skills and deepened my understanding of IT infrastructure.
2014
Seeking new horizons, I immigrated to the USA from Brazil at age 27. I faced head-on the challenge of starting from zero. The initial uncertainty didn’t deter me; I embraced various jobs, constantly seeking pathways back into the IT sector.
2016
My perseverance paid off when I secured a position in the tech field as a Developer, albeit with a twist. Tasked with infrastructure responsibilities, my interest in this area was sparked. Simultaneously, I pursued side projects fixing computers and building websites, always eager to learn more.
2021
Embracing my growing passion for infrastructure and operations, I delved deeper into this field, achieving CKA and CKAD certifications. This decision marked a significant pivot in my career, focusing my expertise on the backbone of IT systems
2022
My dedication and newfound specialization led me to an SRE position at a Fortune 500 company. This milestone underscored my expertise and commitment to the field.
2024
With years of experience and knowledge, I launched a DevOps tutorial channel on YouTube. This venture reflects my desire to share insights, foster learning, and contribute to the tech community’s growth.
